What distinguishes this chain from the typical sandwich-and-salad counter is a fresh, additive-free menu that's served up just as quick. Each morning, chefs bake the baguettes, then prepare a gourmet menu of cranberry-goat cheese sandwiches and chicken-and-citrus salads, and finally display them at designated stations for easy, efficient access. Cafe tables accommodate professionals who have a bit more time.
Pret A Manger's freshness also comes from the nightly delivery of ingredients as well as their policy of donating each day's unsold sandwiches to hunger charity, City Harvest.
Order online before 10am for same-day delivery or up to seven days in advance. There's no fee for orders dropped off within their zone, but there is a $25 minimum for all deliveries.
