Local flavor and dart games beneath the street's foot traffic.

In Short
On touristy MacDougal Street, this brick-walled, downstairs dive keeps a relatively low profile. Its eclectic crowd--blue-collar workers, neighborhood residents, NYU students and...

This bar is underachieving

All in all I like this bar. It's literally an under ground lair so you kind of feel like you are disappearing for a bit which is cool.

They don't do buy backs and the bartenders seem to want to play their own iPods which is too bad as they have one of the internet juke boxes where you can pretty pull up anything you can think of. Just as an FYI, Beyonce isn't really drinking music, you know?

Re: the buyback thing I don't quite get that. Everybody wins. Patrons feel the love, bartenders get bigger tips and the owners get repeat customers.

On the other hand, Happy Hour prices rock and the...

The area scores, the bar is a bore, i didn't feel like saying "one more", i left soon for another chore, and it wasn't in pursuit of a who..

Great spot just off Washington Square Park.

One of the more easily accessible pool tables in town. Besides that, and the fact that it's generally not very crowded, it's fairly run-of-the-mill.

I would only go to this bar if someone else chose it to hang out otherwise I do not reccomend this bar.

Well I'm beginning to think that the bartenders have never heard of a buy back...I bought several rounds of 4 or more drinks per round and not a single buy back. I don't like how the jukebox doesn't play songs by itself if no one has put money in it. I think there should always be music playing whether or not people are putting money in the jukebox. If they wanna here something specific they'll put money in it but otherwise just let go on random. The drinks are relatively cheap and so is the bear. That being said, the bartenders poor light on the mixed drinks, takes a lot more drinks here...

Business description (1)

An “easily accessible” Village barhop stop, this underground collegiate taproom awaits with budget brews, satellite sports and “pool and darts in the back”; even though it’s strictly “run-of-the-mill”, claustrophobes are relieved that “it’s generally not very crowded.”
