wonder why their website(s) don't have pictures of the rooms??? there's a great reason for that---the rooms vary by cleanliness and safety! first off, i rated it a ""one"" because the lobby is nice. that is the only reason. the downside to the lobby....packing to go cook dinner. if you live on one of the upper floors, forget it. you have to bring all your pots, pans, food, etc downstairs ***every time you cook*** because they throw away anything left in the cabinets/kitchen. my room for example: live wires hanging from ceiling, paint and caulk stuck to floors,(and sink, toilet, etc) mold on...
I stayed at the St. George during an internship in Murray Hill right after graduating college and it was better than I ever expected. The neighborhood is so clean and beautiful and I will never forget seeing the view of the skyline and Brooklyn Bridge every day. The building and my room were better than anything I experienced at my college -- I felt very comfortable there and spent a lot of my time at the events they put on like movie nights and BBQs. I lived in the St. George while I was interning in SOHO over the summer. It was my dream to live in New York City but didn't realize what the cost of rent was and so I was freaked out ... but when I found EHS online, I was like so excited because I knew I could actually afford it.
I lived in St. George which is in Brooklyn Heights and it was awesome cause I could take the subway right to work and into the city but I also had a great neighborhood feel around the residence. I had an amazing view of the City and was usually hanging out by the promanade... oh there's a great sushi place right...
