Editorial reviews from the web (5)

There's always a "big hubbub" at lunchtime at this "steady" Grand Central–area magnet for "networking" suits who dig the "satisfying" French-Med cooking, "prompt" service and "modern", patio-equipped setting; it's "quieter" at dinner, despite a weeknight $35 prix fixe "deal."

This restaurant adjacent to the Grand Central Terminal offers a casual atmosphere and a lively outdoor bar in the summer. The short menu features casual bar bites like burgers, chicken wings, french fries with malt vinegar, and calamari… Read More

Café Centro is a bustling midtown brasserie with a stylish look that echoes the glamour of Paris in the 1930's. Guests can watch Executive Chef Franck Deletrain as he prepares French-inspired cuisine with Mediterranean accents and sear top quality steaks. Pastry chef Philippe Faillait's sumptuous desserts are not to be missed. The well priced wine list has received numerous Wine Spectator...

Cafe Centro Restaurant Review

This Americanized French brasserie in the MetLife Building gets high marks for looks --- brass railings, Art Deco details --- and solid marks for its food, too. There's a wood-burning rotisserie in the dining room and the stainless-steel kitchen is visible beyond a glass wall. Although the menu concentrates mostly on French dishes like onion soup with Gruyère and rib-eye au poivre, there are a...

Every major city should have a train-station restaurant like this.

The Scene
You won't find choo-choo memorabilia here; rather, the brasserie-like dining room is a sparkling expanse done in shades of beige with high-backed banquettes, a gleaming open...

Convienent place for lunch with ample seating. Price is moderate for New York. This place gets very loud due to the open design so conversations are difficult when it's crowded. The menus is good...

Arrived on time for a reservation but had to wait 5 minutes for a table when the restaurant was only 2/3rds full. Waiter got the order wrong. Had to beg for a coffee refill. Hash browns were a brick - omelet was ok. Going back to Naples 45.
