Help us make it rightGrab a sandwich in our cafe, watch the cheesemakers at work, or wander downstairs to The Cellar to enjoy a glass of wine next to row upon row of cheese.
When visiting Beecher's in the Flatiron District, we invite you to grab a sandwich in our cafe and watch the cheesemakers at... work. Guests can also wander downstairs into The Cellar where to enjoy a glass of wine and bite of food in the glow of our cheese cave, where row upon row of Beecher's award-winning cheeses ripen to perfection. Proving that "gourmet American cheese" is not an oxymoron, this "upscale", tri-level Flatiron "outpost of the Seattle favorite" offers an "unbeatable selection" of "fabulous" domestic "artisanal" fromages, including those "you can see them making" in-house before they travel to a downstairs aging cave; the goods can be on the "pricey" side, but to most it's "oh-so-worth-it" when you factor in...
For years, Seattle’s answer to our wonderful cheese shops has been Pike Place Market’s Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, but now we have it too. The first floor is full of artisan charcuterie and homemade cheeses, and the upstairs café is home to their famous macaroni and cheese and delectable grilled cheese sandwiches. But you’ll want to head downstairs to the Cellar; it’s there that you’ll find their famous grilled cheese martini.
Beecher's, which handmakes its own cheese, is also a purveyor of Mast Brothers chocolate and McClure's pickle chips. Try a delicious cheesy sandwich from the deli upstairs or head downstairs for a strong cocktail and a plate of mac and cheese.
Absolutely love the atmosphere and the best cheese in the world! Been to both Seattle and NYC! Amazing!!
I am so tickled to have stumbled upon beecher's and there cellar today. Best cheese plate and pairing I've had the pleasure to enjoy. Also, your chef is bar none, came out to teach me about your specialty pickles. The only thing that would have made the time better would be running into Ina & Jeffrey there.
Just the smell was delicious as the food was placed on the table, great atmosphere, food and location
What a great way to spend an afternoon. Downstairs is divine!
The notorious mac and cheese was decent but hardly the world's best of its kind.

Just downstairs from our cheesemaking kitchen, guests can enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine alongside a selection of sharable plates. The menu features embellished mac and cheese, fresh salads, braised meats, soups, and artisan cheeses and charcuterie. The Cellar is 21 and up.
Our cheese counter stays open until 9pm!
