I've been a client of Mario Diab for 5 years(i have my haircut and highlights with him), I've sent my girlfriends, and family to the salon and they have all loved it. I saw the other reviews on here and i must defend mario, he is a dear friend and extreme professional.

The staff are very friendly and always speak me, they always make sure that I'm comfortable. I've never seen nor heard of mario or his staff act in an unprofessional way, being in the salon is like being around your family. the decor is warm and inviting. The prices in the salon are fair, this is the Soho area, you get...

Salon Mario Diab wow i don't know where to start ...they project that nice and fancy salon to the stars but in fact the staff and Mario himslef are very unprofessional.
they have different quotes on daily basis it's like the stock market...
overpriced services-rude staff and owner-if this is what you have to go through to visit the ""salon to the stars""well let's leave it for the stars...
when i discussed prices with Mario his answer was that he needs to make 150$/hr to have a profitable business as he was advised by his finanacial advisers.
Mario my advise to you get someone to teach you...

Sorry for the money of $135-200, I had high expectations and after seeing all the high reviews here.
The place, ambiance, staffs, and the haircut I got was very AVERAGE, literally, stylishly, and experientially.
I could get the same for $70-80 in many places in the city. I aslo had a rude exchange with ""Dmitri"" manager, who wasn't very professional sounding, nor reasonable and came off like he couldn't care less of retaining the customers base. With these price tags, I don't expect to have any rude exchanges with a staff, least of all the manager.

OMG! I used to live in DC and now living in NYC its hard to find that same precision brow person here! I just found out that she is gonna be coming to NYC once a month at Mario's salon, shes gonna be here this saturday the 2nd and I just called to make my appointment with her!! Im so excited!! You guys have to try her!! shes amazing!

I was in desperate need of a cut and Mario did such an amazing job! Not to mention the best blowout ever! I have naturally curly hair and it took him about 7 minutes total to make my hair straight. Plus, my hair still looked great the next day!

I highly recommend him!
