Avoid this establishment like the plague. If 0 stars were an option, that would be my choice. I was referred to this tailor by Nicole Miller for my wedding gown and am disgusted by both the work and the service.
They had difficulty taking in the dress enough, and after three fittings a red stain appeared on the dress. The owner proceeded to tell me it was there all along and that I missed it, and that he receives dresses from Nicole Miller all the time and you should see the kind of condition they come in. I took an item here for tailoring, inspired by their claims to tailor clothes for big name celebrities and big name fashion brands. They stained my garment, which was an irreplaceable custom-made outfit given to me as a gift to wear in my best friend's wedding. The stain cannot be removed and the outfit is permanently ruined. When I asked where the stain came from, the tailor nonchalantly told me he didn't know and that a stain wasn't a big deal at all. When I tried to negotiate a lower final price, they told me the price was locked into the computer and there was nothing they could do,...
I've taken 2 items to this tailor now and BOTH times I've been very disappointed. I brought in a coat w/ a torn lining which they didn't fix properly. They left a gaping hole in the armpit and when I brought it back in the next day, the kid behind the counter said he didn't see it, so he didn't charge me for it, so therefore the tailor didn't fix it. What?! Anyhow, they can't seem to fix a zipper, sew a hole or get customer service right. If I were you, I'd walk one street over and go to a tailor who actually gives a damn about repeat business.
