Help us make it rightanessa Dumpling’s House is a family run business. It started in 1999 when Vanessa opened up on Elderidge St. in Chinatown se...lling her first batch of dumplings with attentive detail to quality and adherence to centuries of tradition passed down from her grandparents and parents. Vanessa recalls back home in Beijing, China, when friends and family would come together to make dumplings to...
These "always busy" dumpling dispensers offer a "yummy" namesake specialty that's fried or steamed while you wait; the barely "utilitarian" setups feature minimal seating and service is "insouciant" at best, but they're hard to beat for a "fast, filling", "dirt-cheap" nosh.

Super duper cheap dumpling hole in the wall!
Strolling around Chinatown one day, my interest was piqued by the hustle bustle at a neat looking dumpling house. That’s how I discovered Vanessa’s Dumpling House on Eldridge Street. Vanessa’s works like a well-oiled machine and is run by an all women crew – love that!
"Chinatown holds may itself, chief among them is VANESSA'S DUMPLING HOUSE, churning out trays upon trays of handmade dumplings of tasty variety, and offering them on a menu with other Chinese food staples (scallion pancakes, roast buns, noodles, bubble teas) and all of it for seemingly impossible low, not-of-this-city prices."

Where to Sit: Don't expect to nab any of the extremely limited barstool seating in the back (which comfortably seats only six to eight people). To-go is a must here.
Know Before You Go: Take a quick peek into your to-go bag, especially during peak hours when items can get lost from your order.
What to Drink: Fresh, hot soy milk is prepared daily (sugar optional); otherwise expect only bottled sodas and water.
