I feel this hotel was a good value for the money. The rooms were rather small, and had a small bathroom with no room for toiletries. The room appeared to be clean.

Right in the Core of the Big Apple

My boyfriend booked 7 nights at The Gallivant as part of a surprise 30th birthday vacation and I couldn't have chosen better myself. We drove to the front of the hotel to drop-off our bags and driving through Times Square isn't as terrifying as you might think, check-in was friendly and hassle free.

Typical Manhattan

The Gallivant is typical Manhattan, attractive lobby but tiny basic rooms. Plus points obviously right in the heart of time square and not quite as expensive as some of the other ones. Still pricey though, but that's Manhattan. Customer service was good with friendly staff. But negative, rooms are just tiny old and a little bit dirty. Our white headboard...

Nice and you can't beat the location

The location is super great; within walking distance of anything you want to do or see around Times Square. The room was small, but it doesn't matter. If you're a tourist, like I am, you won't be spending much time there anyway.
One thing I did find really weird was the shower. Floor to ceiling glass on HALF the entrance...

Had 4 nights. Rooms very small but ok if you only need somewhere to sleep. Location was perfect. Very easy to walk to time square and to Central Park. Shower took forever to heat up. Customer service was very disappointing. Not friendly at all.
