Thom Bar Restaurant Review

Want to see and be seen in SoHo? This is the spot. The regular haunt of local and visiting celebs and hipper-than-thou downtowners, this minimalist bar (located in the equally sleek 60 Thompson hotel) is not unlike a place featured in the pages of any design magazine with an asterisk in the title. Thom takes its name from the street on which it is found and the fact that in Vietnamese, Thom means "pineapple," which is a south asian symbol for hospitality.

Nice bar. DJ started playing around 11 and it seemed to start filling up around 12.We didn't stay too much after 12 because there were a few other spots we wanted to tryout.Drinks were expensive but that's just par for the course for a trendy NYC Hotel Bar in Soho.Bartenders were very attentive and seemed to know their craft.

We ordered drinks and all was good. We ordered a second round, and ten minutes later, someone who was not our bartender or our …
