So effin' gooooood! I'm surprised to find out that such a classy place would be located at State College & Ball. It's right at the ground floor of Extron and adjacent to L3. Growing up in this hood, all you really see if hole in the wall Mexican joints and dodgy hidden gems. There's free parking here, so you can afford that extra drink after all.

So I'll likely be the odd one out here, but I wasn't blown away by The Ranch. Came here for OC Restaurant week, and opted for their $40 three course prix fixe menu. This was actually a great deal considering the relative prices on their regular menu, especially considering they had a "Confit of Muscovy Duck Leg" that wasn't on their regular menu.

So my friends and I went to The Ranch for OC Restaurant week and all opted for the $40 prix fixe menu. (which by the way was weird because the server told us that we all have to get the prix fixe other wise no one could - hey managers at the restaurant, I don't know how that's good business for you, but whatever)

EXPENSIVE is all I gotta say. This place is between a 3 and a 4..... so someone else can balance out my 3 by giving a 4.

Got foie gras, which was good, but not $20 good. Also got the ceviche which has too much dressing/sauce on it~ Blah, it's still sitting in my fridge; maybe I need to throw it away already ~ But I pay so much money for it ($19), so maybe I'll keep it for another day before...
