I've worked with Taylor Hodson twice within a 3 year period, and both times, after multiple interviews, I received a job offer and accepted. This means that, during the recession, they helped me land 2 jobs.

The first one was not great, but there's really only so much that any of these recruiters, from any agency, can know about what they're sending you into, and Taylor Hodson really tries to help you find the best fit - you just have to be completely honest about what you're looking for (I wasn't in this case - I was new to the city and willing to take any job that came my way). Taylor Hodson was so incredibly helpful from the start and their staff is great to work with. They brought me in for an interview and almost immediately I began working through their temporary agency. Their recruiters genuinely want to help you find work that is best suited for you and go above and beyond to get you working. I had recently graduated college and relocated to NYC when I first met with the team at Taylor Hodson. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly which helped calm my nerves into my interview. Their conversational interview style allowed us to learn about each other on and off paper. Being able to establish a mutual understanding and genuine feel was very important to me. After being unemployed for two months, I decided to get serious about my job search. I looked up the top Temp Agencies in NYC and came across Taylor Hodson, Inc. I sent them my resume and within an hour I received a call. I went in the next day to meet with my recruiter, Legare, who was/is absolutely amazing (and so is the office space!).
