There's "nothing standard" about this "architecturally stunning", Meatpacking District "hipster" haunt boasting "spectacular" views from the "incredible" rooftop bar, an "excellent" gym and "sleek and sexy" quarters ("don't forget to close your shades" unless you want "people waving from the High Line"); it get's "a little bit noisy with the party people" packing the "cool" on-site biergarten...
One of the coolest hotels in NYC, with a poppin nightlife. Rooms have amazing views of the city + water, with a soaking tub included. Try the peanut butter hot chocolate from the restaurant!
André Balazs's architectural statement on the West Side is still one of New York's hottest hotels. It helps to have the High Line Park running underneath it, but the Standard earns much of the buzz in its own right, with a lobby full of glamorous types, an authentic beer garden (open year-round; dig the Ping-Pong tables), and the 18th-floor nightclub Top of the Standard, one of the toughest...
Planted around the High Line elevated park, take your pick of the Top of the Standard, Le Bain, Living Room, or street-level Biergarten, and take in the views of the city and the beautiful people at this Meatpacking fashion hotspot. The place gets exclusive after about 9pm, so arrive on the early side to settle in and enjoy one of the zingy cocktails.

This is one of my favorite parts of the High Line. I don't know who designed this building, but it's very interesting. I do know that the people who live there should make sure they close their drapes at times. PG please.
Love walking the high line and seeing all the sights... This building caught my eye it is so beautiful!!
The Standard High Line 18-Story tower arches over the high line and is located on the mighty Hudson River in the heart of downtown Manhattan's meatpacking district. Early departures will be charged the full amount of original reservation. Must be 21 years of age to check-in.

The Standard, High Line is anything but that. Situated right on The Highline, this understated upscale hotel boasts urban chic décor characterized by simple lines, reflective steel and glass, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the skyline, Hudson River and downtown from virtually every room. The Standard looks more or less like a slightly bent UN building on stilts, straddling the High Line, the elevated railway that?s becoming lower Manhattan?s new green paradise. Even the interiors feel a bit utopian, decked out in a retro-future style that pays homage to Scandinavian mid-century modernism ? a welcome departure from the faux-Romantic grittiness that seems to prevail in the...
