Great public library. Not as many books on hand as I would like, but it is very quick and easy to order one. Friendly librarians, clean and quiet atmosphere. Nice place to relax and unwind or take a quick break from the downtown pace.

Good place to find obscure books

The building housing the library is architecturally appealing. However, I was a bit dissappointed after walking in. The air is musty and stale and they don't seem to have the new books I am normally interested in. I browsed some more to see what type of books they do have and found very old and obscure books relating to life in previous decades. There are many other books there but those were...

This was a very nicely maintained, clean, well-lit, quiet library. It had a large selection and the people were more than helpful.

This library is great. Not only do they have a huge selection of books but also of movies and tapes you can check out. They have computers you can surf on too.If you need extra time you just call them and they extend your rent time it costs nothing unless you are late and do not let them know but even then it is very little.

The building itself beautiful

The Saint Louis Public Library is not only a library, but the building itself is a wonderful and interesting site.
