Wonderful notified hotel - very well appointed. Services need to step up in order to be a 5 star hotel. Staff not always there to help and hotel restaurant services seem a little disorganized.

NYC was the last place we expected to be last week. We had a nice trip to San Juan planned...unfortunately, due to my wife being pregnant and the Zika virus, we elected to cancel. I booked the Smyth essentially, at the last minute via priceline. The lobby is very small but well done. The staff is extremely courteous, and helpful...

Nice room very large with a very comfy bed, good service and very clean hotel. Location was just perfect for my business trip at the world trade center. They

Perfect balance of location, service and comfort

Our second long stay at this great boutique hotel. New lounge bar is like Tribeca's lounge room. New restaurant is first class with an exciting and innovative menu. As we stayed 14 nights we choose a suite. Service from staff was friendly and very attentive. Shame New York is so far from Sydney or I would be there more often....

The Smyth is a fantastic place to stay if you are traveling for business in the financial district. I usually stay at the Roxy, but it wasn't an approved hotel for this trip. The hotel is within short walking distance of many of the banking buildings in lower Manhattan, close to the subway, and there are tons of great restaurants...
