Help us make it rightI have heard horrible things about this place but since it's close to where I live I have tried to give this place a shot on three separate occasions. All three times Sena has made an appointment with me and then either didn't show up or was over and hour late...I went by there recently at 10 a.m. and the only stylist working there was sleeping (and giving me attitude because she was tired). Sena was at home and seemed unaware that we had spoken the day before. This has happened 3 times. I cannot and will not go back to this place. AVOID. THIS. SALON. I promise you, it's terrible.
Sena's african braiding salon has to be one of the worst I have ever been to. I will never return! The manager Sena came over to me in the middle of me doing my hair and said "THE MONEY! I reply excuse me? she said "PAY" I thought I was going to lose my mind but I gave it to her in disgust and embarrassment for them. This is not a salon, it's a doorstep and you better pay up before you know...
This braiding salon has such potential but the owner/manager needs to learn how to do business in the US. The woman who did my hair did an excellent job but I was at the shop for 12 hours though I had called and scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance and was promised two hair braiders so that I could finish in 5 hours. When I arrived, the owner/manager told me that she would only be able to provide me with one. She was completely inconsiderate of my time and was very unapologetic. I'm tired of hair braiders that act as though they are doing me a favor when in actuality I'm paying...
I've gone here several times to get my braids taken out and the staff is so rude and obnoxious that I will never ever go back. They changed the price on me on two different occasions and it was really awkward situation. The staff is so miserable that it's really uncomfortable to be in the salon. They act as if you have no reason to be in their space and so therefore I would never recommend this place to anyone! You'd be happier alone and doing it by yourself!
Cons
- dirty, obnoxious staff, prices questionable
I went here for several months to get my hair braided. These ladies do a wonderful job, their prices are excellent and while you get your hair braided you get to watch some pretty awesome movies.
