"Luxurious" accommodations with "beds like heaven" and "to-die-for" views of Central Park star at this "incredible", "bucket-list" hotel featuring an "unbelievable" location, "gorgeous" decor and an "expensive" price tag that's "worth every penny"; supporters relish the "exceptional" facilities that include a "bar that is so much fun" and a La Prairie spa, as well as the "superb" staffers who...

There’s a lot to like about this hotel—from its location overlooking Central Park to the impeccable, personable service—but what I like best is that this luxury hotel manages to maintain a homey elegance and does not intimidate you with an overabundance of style. Rooms are spacious and decorated in English-country style. Suites are larger than most New York apartments. Rooms facing Central Park...

The Ritz is the tits, baby. No matter what one asks for, it is always the staff's pleasure to assist. Frédéric Fekkai amenities, marble baths, and Bang & Olufsen electronics. Thirty-three-story five-star lodging replete with lobby harp. Dodge Lamborghini stopping on dime out front. Many of the rooms have Central Park views, but proximity to hansom cabstand leaves a heavy air of manure at entrance.

Thank you James!!!

Always a pleasure for a short day trip for my meetings but what won me over was the simple touch of The gentleman who turn my seat warmer on as I was getting ready to head to the airport. It’s the little things that mean the most!!! Thank you James

Low quality Ritz Carlton, especially considering its price

This is one of the most expensive hotels in New York. So expectations are high accordingly. Like a previous review, I am a Platinum (Elite) and very little was done for me. I was "upgraded" to a room which has no closet, so I needed to "downgrade" back in my original low category facing another building (yuck... don't book a low category room in this hotel - nasty). The room itself is nice,...

Subpar

My wife and I check in last Tuesday and were given most likely the worst room in the house. The window opened up to backs of other buildings and trash, when we asked for a room facing Central Park. The faucet water was brown. When I called down they told me to let the water run for a few minutes. Well, 15 minutes later it was still brown. So we checked the shower only to find all the hardware...

Serenity and Luxury

From the moment you step out of the scrum of Manhattan traffic, the doormen welcome you. The lobby is classic dark wood paneled with clubby furniture and tapestry. The staff are world class and take care of your every need, especially Brian and Celso at the concierge desk. These gentlemen can answer just about any questions you may have. The rooms are elegantly remodeled, but I wish the...

Quiet Elegance!

My wife and I have stayed at numerous luxury level hotels, several of which have been Ritz-Carltons. The Ritz-Carlton, New York, Central Park definitely lives up to the brand's steller reputation. The unobtrusive front entrance, manned by two attentive doormen; the comfortable, subdued lobby; a concierge, staffed by people who had already managed to snag impossible restaurant reservations in...

An urban sanctuary overlooking Central Park South

Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in the mid-19th century as an open-air oasis for a bustling metropolis, New York’s Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, which makes the hotels that front it some of the most captivating in New York City. Among them, The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park stands as a stately presence, its Art Deco façade just a hint to the richness...
