The legacy of Primos Restaurants began in the 1920s with my grandfather, Angelo "Pop" Primos. An immigrant from Greece, Angelo and his young wife Mildred made Mississippi their home. At their small bakery in downtown Jackson, they considered every customer their friend.

As the Great Depression came and went, Primos Bakery transitioned from coffee and pastries to café fare, offering sandwiches...

Good Breakfast. Really like their breakfast here more than anything. Lunch and dinner are pretty decent, but sometimes it doesn't taste fresh. Good service too.

I ordered a Reuben and potato salad, and it was excellent. My son got a sandwich and potato salad and loved it. We have eaten at Primos a few times, and it is always good. The service was good as well. We did not, on this occasion, get dessert, but their desserts are outstanding.

Great breakfast. The food isn't greasy & sloppy like most breakfast places. You receive your food fairly quick. Very clean & organized.

It's all great at Primos. From gumbo to grits ... From breakfast to an incredible Reuben. I usually avoid restaurants with such a wide variety of food (assuming no one can do it all well), but Primos pulls it off. Highly recommended.
