Help us make it rightOne of the year's quirkiest newcomers, this rustic LES restaurant–cum–art installation is done up like an explorer's club, with off-the-wall design elements like piano-pedal beer-tap handles, fans made from oars and a bar with a built-in rowboat; a big, wood-burning potbelly stove is the source of much of the hearty American grub on offer.
Locally sourced American fare in a “walk-in sculpture.” Subterranean dining room’s dressed with reclaimed shutters; liquor’s shelved in hollowed-out piano bodies. Nineteenth-century vibes carry over to the massive wood-burning furnace, which roasts seasonal vegetables like sunchokes and potatoes. Fennel-rusted veal chops and whole organic chickens highlight your entrée list. Breakfast starts at...
Seasonal American cuisine, sure, but the point of Preserve24 is that it is as much an art installation as it is a restaurant or bar. With furniture and fixtures made from recycled, well, everything, you may be sidled to a bar or a table made out of an old piano or boat.
Preserve24 is one of my favorite places to take people that I want to impress. The food, service and atmosphere here are all excellent.
New York coolest new restaurant...it's a bi-level space that also acts as an explorers club. 2 bars, a raw bar, open kitchen...oh did I mention amazing locally sourced food, great drinks and the best priced wine list in the city with service to match...redefines destination dining
The title pretty much says it all. I typically stay at the Thompson when I'm in NY and this place is conveniently located basically next door. The first time I went, they weren't serving food yet, but now they are and their breakfast selections are pretty much amazing. Great service. Will definitely be making this a part of my NY...
We ate here for Thanksgiving and it did not disappoint. They had some of the best cocktails I have ever had prior to our meal. They had all the traditional Thanksgiving items and all was excellent. The desserts could have been a bit better. This place is much larger than it looks. It seats patrons upstairs and down. Lovely bars...
It was a little pricey. The steak with truffle oil fries blows your mind. The roasted bone marrow allows me to yell the good to the chef. It was amazing. The cocktails were unbelievable. The environment was unique, fun, but a little too cold if you seat next to the host station. I am coming back soon.
Preserve 24 is located at 177 E Houston St, New York, NY..
P24 focuses on seasonal and local food, prepared by Chef John Parlatore. The Rustic American restaurant also support's local artist and community engagement.
