THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Pelea Mexicana Restaurant Review

This TriBeCa Mexican restaurant offers menu items ranging from flautas con pollo and mahi mahi ceviche to enchiladas suizas and a grilled hanger steak with onion-poblano rajas. Complement your meal with a tequila selection, wine by the glass, cerveza or margarita. Speaking of tipples, happy hour takes place Monday-Friday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bar Artisanal Restaurant & Tapas Bar Restaurant Review

After a short, failed trial period, this space---born as Trigo---was overhauled into Bar Artisanal, with restaurateur Terrance Brennan added to the mix in the process. A swooping space with black and white tile floors and wrought iron filigrees throughout, Bar Artisanal has now morphed into a Spanish restaurant featuring dishes such as salt cod fritters with piquillo pepper jam, shellfish...

NYC’s Mexican renaissance continues, with huge south of the border entry in former Bar Artisanal space. Chef’s from Rosa Mexicano, but prices are more in line with a MaryAnn’s. All you can eat tacos at happy hour, washed down with discounted drafts and margaritas. Taqueria counter makes use of homemade tortillas, pressed right before your eyes. Sophisticated seafood picks like ceviches and...

Citysearch Editorial Review

Plenty of parents wait to choose a name until their kid is actually born, so why does it always come as such a shock when restaurants change their concept after a few months of being open? Bar...

This Tribeca bistro serves a market-driven menu of Mediterranean dishes and wines from various countries in the region.

A big, airy space illuminated by floor-to-ceiling window and lots of brass and mirrors gives this Tribeca restaurant an uplifting feel, and former Aquavit chef Michael Garrett's moderately priced...

This place is OK. The food is sometimes hit or miss. I got the crab cake sandwich once and it was weird. Didn't know you could make a bad crab cake sandwich but apparently i was wrong. The burger is solid which is good and the staff is friendly. This place always has room for lunch which is good.

Service was terrible it took forever to get our check. The waitress didn't even pay attention. Once we got the bill they didn't take into account happy hour prices and then we had to wait even longer. Average food for the price. Wouldn't go back.

I've been to a lot of the restaurants in the area, including Pepolino, which is a solid 5 star italian restaurant located right across the street. However, we were craving something different and decided to try AOA Bar & Grill, plus the Ranger game just started so it made sense to hit a sports bar. We came in …

Tips about this business (3)

Where to Sit

Tables near one set of floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the entrance to the Canal Street subway station, a chance to see some of the city's choreography. Another option is to sit at the cheese counter, a chance to see the choreography of cheesemongering.

What to Drink

Sangria comes in four flavors (tinto, blanco, latino and hot and spicy) and three sizes (glass, small pitcher and large pitcher). Another option is horchata, a nonalcoholic, rice-based beverage that's almost dessert-like in its creamy richness.

When to Go

Brunch, dinner and late-night are all fine options, but perhaps the best deals occur during happy hour, 5pm-7 pm weeknights. Ten dollars gets you unlimited fancy flatbread, like one with clams, ham and spices, while $15 gets you a choice of three meats and three cheeses. Oh, and there are drink specials, too.
