Of the moment, young, emerging designer wares meet in this "downtown vibe" open warehouse space. Casual apparel and accessories, full denim bar. Funky jewelry, pop tart/movie star sunglasses, designer "it" bags and cutting-edge footwear to turn any ensemble into a talked-about look. More affordable options that at the Barney's flagship stores, same attentive service.

New York’s self-made temple of chic still reigns supreme. While the store focuses on hot-off-the-runway women’s wear, its men’s wear runs the gamut from classic to cutting edge. Bring your platinum card, because nothing comes cheap here, although house brands are solidly made and aren’t off-the-chart expensive. Both the downtown (in two locations), uptown, and Brooklyn Barneys Co-Ops have...

Awesome denim & coolest stuff!

I buy all my denims in either CO-OP or Barneys uptown. They usually have the trendiest style & brands. Some brands you might not have heard of but the style & fits are amazing! My boyfriend & I are always browsing for the latest & coolest stuff here! The only drawback is that CO-OP and Barneys is not for everyone, paying premium for the latest style is not in everyone's budget...but worth it for the fashion conscious!

Pros

+ Denim Selection, Coolest, Latest

More staff training is needed. Seriously

I don't know about this location, but i love the one in Soho. Some of my favorite brands at one place.
however, some staff are very very unprofessional and rude!!! I suggest that, if u don't want to be irritated by annoying staff and u are shopping in Soho, you go to other similar stores like Language or Scoop. Ppl at these stores seem to be so much nicer every time.

If the Staff Would Only Vanish

Cool ultra-trendy clothes, prices that aren't outrageous, and an interesting, if sometimes bizarre selection, draw the serious shopper. But please fire 90% of the staff, who seem too busy admiring themselves to possibly be bothered to help a customer. Strangely, a few staffpeople are quite nice and professional; the rest should resign in shame...don't go expecting to be treated well; expect the worst and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Pros

+ cool clothes, spacious

Cons

- attitudinal staff

Know Before You Go

There is also a Madison Avenue location.

Know Before You Go

Boys, stop your bitching about shopping envy. The store has a great men's department just waiting for your Visa.

The Extras

There's even the grooviest of beauty loot--Nars, Fresh and Stila are just a few of the chic brands.
