Best Shrimp and Grits ever! Our waiter Cameron couldn't have been more helpful. Suggested an Old Fashion and I'm not a bourbon drinker, but the sorghum sold me and it was delicious. Worth the trip from out of town just to go for dinner. I'll be back!!!
We had a great meal and excellent service at Nick Ryan's. What I would call upscale casual, moderately priced. One of our dishes came out a little cold. It was still delicious and not off enough to send it back to the kitchen. We just mentioned it in passing to the waitress. The manager promptly took it off our bill without us asking or even really being upset. Wow!! Totally unexpected but...
If you like high-end restaurants with high-end prices, Nick Ryan's will most likely satisfy you. It certainly beats Malone's and other trendy establishments. I enjoyed a steak which was very good, but far from the best (you gotta go to El Paso for the ultimate steak). Still, Nick Ryan's is your best choice in Lexington. I don't recall any TV's....
Visited Nick Ryan's with my husband on a Friday night. Beautiful night and a lovely table on the patio. Waited about 15 minutes then I asked a young man if he would tell our server we were there. He said "oh, Im your server. I didn't see you here". Hmm... Mojitos and Blue Moons were delish!

I went for a late dinner after a wine class with my boyfriend. The restaurant only had a few tables sat and so service was very fast. We went on a Monday and got their burger special. The food was delicious and a great price. The server was prompt and very nice.
