I learned soo much of how this church gave to my Ancestors, and has continued to give to the Community since 1795, a true New York City Landmark!!!.
I'm sure my Ancestors when arrived in New York were some of the many who came for worship and Prayer. I really salute this chuch for it's continued success, through Prayer, Worship...

The church is very friendly and Pastor Carter is a great Pastor who loves to share her pulpit with other ministers.

Formerly, the Oliver Street Baptist Church, the Mariner's Temple traces its beginnings back to 1795. The Baptist church is housed in Greek Revival style building and was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1980. This historic church is still operational and welcomes visitors.
