Temptations of a voyage aboard a cruise ship in SoHo may lure you into a below-ground fish bar. Armed with saké and Bellini martinis, this yacht-like cabin with gleaming floors and leather furnishings helps cruise through a seafood journey captained by Josh Capon. Mirrors advertise American oysters and the sushi master resides in his pagoda, wooing appetites with arctic char and kampachi...
It's "quite the scene" at this "packed" SoHo cellar seafooder where the "fresh" catch is "perfectly cooked" and on par with the "classy", "cruise-ship" decor; though tabs are steep and the "ebullient", "mixed-age" crowd makes a lot of racket, it's generally considered an "all-around winner."
Decorated like the clubby interior of a sleek luxury liner, Lure's menu offers oceanic fare prepared in multiple culinary styles. From the sushi bar, you can feast on options like the Lure House Roll—a shrimp tempura roll crowned with spicy tuna and Japanese tartar sauce—or you can opt for creative dishes from the kitchen, like steamed branzino with oyster mushrooms, scallions, and ponzu sauce,...
Bailed out of the fire and flood, subterranean space is more gorgeous than ever. Get all Young Yacht on Soho's rawest fare. Fish food is brain food! Down too much of That Bourbon Drink and suddenly it's the QE2 again and you're getting seasick in a potted plant. Watch out for the big game hunters docked at the bar. Don't leave without some herb-stuffed whole dorado, chorizo mussel soup, and...
Beige banquettes, dark blue accents and a ribbed ceiling set a seafaring tone; round fixtures and copper accents further the cruise-ship vibe. The space draws a similarly showy crowd. The...
Fabulous food with awesome decor. Service was superb.
In the middle of a major snow storm, managed to secure a last-minute lunch table during Restaurant Week. If they can turn out such great food, very good portions and top service on such a day, I can't wait to go back and try it on a more normal day.
This was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. We were there for Restaurant Week and the choices they offered were extraordinary. We were never made to feel like poor cousins. We were treated with charm, graciousness and respect. All in all a wonderful experience. I will definitely be going back.
Fantastic seafood! Great service as well as decor.
Great experience highly recommend!!

Seafood, Sushi and Oyster Bar in the heart of Soho and in Miami's South Beach.
Seafood: Walking into Lure feels a bit like entering an extremely chic submarine. From the portholes and teak paneling, to angular passageways and cabin-inspired private rooms, Lure certainly impresses first-timers with its luxury liner motif. That said, it's the food -- the truest measure of a restaurant's capacity for staying afloat -- that makes this place SoHo's fashionable choice for fish...
Lure is seafood, raw bar, sushi bar (steak, too), serving lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, seven days a week.
Lunch starts at 11:30AM, brunch at 11:00, dinner 4PM.
A haven of delicious seafood and pretty people, Lure has established itself as a serious seafood restaurant - with a good sense of fun (mini ice-cream sandwiches!). Salmon tartare, sushi combo, lobster tempura, steamed branzino, beet salad with goat cheese ensure an evening of finely honed dining. And if you want to unwind after work with only drinks, the smart staff will guide you to a...
What to Drink: Signature cocktails, including a sparkling peach Bellini topped with champagne, run about $12. Also look out for a spiked Arnold Palmer to go with your fried oysters.
The Extras: Though it's a seafood house through and through, Lure serves a perfect simulacrum of an In-N-Out burger, and some of the best chicken wings in New York.
When to Go: A limited menu is served between lunch and dinner, from 3pm to 5:30pm.
