Help us make it rightAfter many gluttonous months of carnivorous research…...…This Lil’ Piggy’s has come to the Ferry Landing in Coronado. November 28th, 2008 marked an exciting day for the Spatafore family of Coronado, with the opening of their fourth restaurant concept in the city. Lil’ Piggy’s was a special project that logged many miles through the Southern states including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and of...
Logging many miles through the Southern states including Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and of course Tennessee. Lil' Piggy's focus is slow-cooked Memphis-style Bar-B-Q. But what exactly is Memphis style bar-b-q? The simplest rule is that Memphis, along with the Carolinas, is primarily a pork based meat, where as Texas is mostly beef, and Kansas City is a mixture of both with a lot of sauces. Along...

The only real BBQ I've had in San Diego. The perfection of the smoking process, the sides, everything, brings tears of happiness to my eyes.
Had an awesome burger and beer here. Never knew what onion strings were until now but they are delicious. Definitely worth trying their bbq bacon burger.
It's very okay - the food is not bad, but it's not very special. Very country/southern/fried style, and while I normally like the ribs enough, I tried the pulled-pork sandwich last time and it was very dry. Update: this time, I tried the pulled chicken sandwich...also very dry. But the mac and cheese and local craft beer selection is on point.
Great little BBQ joint on the NE side of Coronado. I love hanging out in that area, it's really heaven. Lil Piggy's has some fantastic food. The barbeque is excellent. They also have a large selection of craft beer to choose from. Service is always friendly and fast and of course you have the killer vibe of being by the bay with great views of dowtown, the water and the bridge.
This Lil Piggy will be back. This restaurant is located off the ferry landing on Coronado so it offers so pretty nice views of the water and downtown SD. We came here for lunch just before noon on a weekday. Within minutes the place was full and there were even people dropping by putting in orders for takeout. Because I am a pig, I suggested to my bf that we get the "Gone to the Market Sampler...
Tantalizing barbecue meats with all the fixings await with each visit to Lil Piggy's B-B-Q. When the mouthwatering goodness of juicy pulled pork, smoked brisket, or tender ribs is calling your name, you've come to the right place at our barbecue restaurant in Coronado, CA. We cook our meats "low and slow" for extended periods of time. We use pure hickory wood to provide the ultimate flavor, and...
