i adopted a cat from lhs and its a great cat. she was really well taken care of and i m glad lhs could give her a second chance at a better life.

I am surprised to hear that LHS is still having so many issues. I just read another report of a sick kitten. Years ago I adopted a dog from there and it had Kennel Cough, which I found out from the vet I took him to for his checkup just after adopting. I had other dogs at the time and was concerned about this becoming a problem in my home, so I contacted them. I was told I could bring him back...
I think the "upper respiratory" thing is nothing but a big money making sham for local "veterinarians". They always make a big deal out of anything and want you to give them a several hundred dollar handout. Ive seen many a cat with alot of sneezing coughing etc. and in time they always get better without being drugged up.
