What the community has to say about Juliana's Pizza

Information about this business (2)

Patsy & Carol Grimaldi are the founders of a New York City pizza institution. Unbeknownst to many, Pat & Carol ended their a...ssociation with Grimaldi’s more than a decade ago when they sold the business (along with the name) to a customer. Even though they were no longer involved in the restaurant, they never lost their passion for serving (and eating) truly great pizza. And so, after many...

Juliana's Pizza, located at Brooklyn, serves authentic thin crust pizzas. The menu is extensive, and features some favorites like the Pizza Marinara and Margharita, and includes several House Specials. There is also a wide number of delicious toppings that diners can choose from. The desserts are as scrumptious, with dishes like Carol's Cannoli and Brookie's Bridge, among others. For those who...

Editorial reviews from the web (4)

“Welcome back, Patsy!” cheer fans of the original owner of the famed Grimaldi’s and his latest pizzeria under the Brooklyn Bridge (this one named for his mother); it serves up “superb, thin-crust”, “coal oven”–fired pies in “crisp, clean”, jukebox-equipped digs, and allows eaters to “skip the lines” found elsewhere – at least until the word gets out.

Try to keep this chronology straight: Patsy Grimaldi, the former owner of the famous Brooklyn pizza joint—with the even more famously long lines—that bears his name, has opened Juliana's in the space vacated by the original Grimaldi's, currently owned by Frank Ciolli. So, the original Grimaldi's, now no longer at its original address, is now competing with Juliana's, which is owned by an actual...

You may know this iconic pizza as Grimaldi's -- which was itself the result of a lawsuit connected with the Patsy's franchise. Anyway, Patsy Grimaldi created it and it's still great, though not great enough to wait in line for.

Pizza wars are on and Dumbo is the winner. Patsy Grimaldi, nephew of the Harlem master, returns to his legendary Brooklyn spot. The original coal oven is still there, ready to throw down with nearby Grimaldi’s, which bought Patsy out way back when. Space is pretty and contemporary, although not so modern that they don’t have Frank Sinatra on the jukebox. Pies are all that. Classic margheritas...

The host was the hardest working person I would say, he was so personable, he made everyone feel so relaxed, very attentive. The food was delicious!! They do not do take out by the slice, you would have to order a full pie.

We had taken the subway across the river to get some pics of the Brooklyn bridge and manhattan at night. Got some great pics but found some great pizza in the process. Great service...short wait...fantastic pizza.

This is a bit of walk from the subway but it is close to the ferry terminal. The pizza was good. There is a crowd so expect a wait. Not sure if they do reservations as as the space is limited. The kitchen is open...
