Great atmosphere

We were in Kansas City for a volleyball tournament and walked through the Power and Light district and found Johnnys Tavern. Great outdoor seating and good menu selection. Has great menu specials on a Sunday afternoon. $12 for a huge pizza and $5 bloody mary bar. Fun area!

The food was good. The atmosphere was sports oriented with tons of TV. There was nothing special about the food. It was good but not memorable.

Great waitresses Audrey & Natasha. Had pub food- fried pickles & jalapeño & potato skins. The wilsons wings were ok- nothing to write home about. Nachos were good but small portion for 8.49 & buffalo dip was the same.

We timed it just perfect and were able to get a table right away. I was a little afraid because we were on a lunch time crunch during the first week of march madness Everyone but myself had their weekday burger special and I had a Greek salad with grilled chicken. In 1953, Mr. John Wilson stepped in and Johnny's Tavern was born! It became a haven for the workingman with plenty of cold beer and C & W music on the jukebox. The original red arrow and giant beer mug sign still hang out front today. It was the beginning of what is now the "Longest Runnin' Tap in Town".
