Nice place for a quiet breakfast if you live in the area. Lunch a dinner also available. It's not a fancy restaurant as some of the others in the seaport area but it's also not expensive as the touristy restaurants are. It's more of a restaurant for locals.

Just tried this place for the first time with a couple of friends from work and was pretty pleased. I have been to Grandma's House several times now and have always had a great dining experience. What sets this restaurant apart from the other burger, fries and ribs places all over the city is the quality and preparation of everything made there. This recently opened restaurant is just a block or so from the South Street Seaport, at 27 Peck Slip, in lower Manhattan. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Grandma's offers delectable comfort food with some variations on familiar fare. High Expectations

We live in the neighborhood and were anxious to try the "new place" It is a kitchy looking place, but upon sitting down on a hard wooden both I noticed I was very high up and could barely reach the table to eat.
