When native New Yorkers and Corner Table Restaurants co-founders Glenn Harris and Jeffrey Lefcourt crossed paths in the early-nineties, they realized that their combination of culinary expertise and passion for hospitality would produce amazing results. Their friendship soon evolved into a business partnership in April 2001 when the duo opened Jane.

"Young, trendy" folk flock to this "upbeat" Village American for "quite tasty" cooking, with "moderate" tabs, "austere" decor and "generally good service" on the side; though "insanely busy", the weekend brunch is the scene to make, provided you can stomach "loud" decibels on top of your "hangover."
Jane is the kind of un-intimidating restaurant that beckons to the beautiful crowds, yet provides a fun and energetic atmosphere. Diners who value great food at reasonable prices continues to return for the intimacy and personal touch of Jane that cannot be found at most NY restaurants. The menu is made up of familiar American dishes enlivened by fresh local ingredients and a commitment by the...

Jane’s cooking utilizes fresh local ingredients. Starters include a roasted beet salad with dry aged ricotta, organic mâche, spiced candied walnuts and white balsamic vinegar. Main dishes include intriguing pasta and risotto dishes, as well as fresh seafood and interestingly prepared meat dishes. There’s also an extensive wine list and a well-chosen specialty cocktail menu.
Hey, pretty damn good food! Loyal clientele dig into generous plates of appetizers, which generally outshine the mains. Benedict Johnny with homemade chicken sausage cures even the gnarliest PBR-induced hangover. White-washed interior can get so loud you can't hear your companion say, "Hey, pretty damn good food!" But you knew that anyway. Try the martini: A slice of pickled green tomato stands...
We went here for their Valentine's day prefix menu and I have to say we were very disappointed. If we weren't in a rush to catch a broadway play, I would have sent the food back. The Lobster Bisque was very musty and tasted bad, neither my husband or i could eat it. We both ordered the rack of lamb and they came very undercooked and we could barely eat this as well. The only good part of our...
A wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambience was chic, but still warm and inviting. All the staff members were extremely friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The menu was well-crafted with creative twists on classic dishes. Everything was well prepared and satisfying. Would definitely come here again and would love to try out their brunch menu.
Great spot for brunch with friends. Servers were attentive and helpful. Interesting menu and a few twists on classic meals.
Good food but drinks mediocre. Large tables and plenty of room.
Love coming here! Dinner and brunch are both outstanding. Bit pricey, but worth it!

Planning a private event? Inquire about hosting it in Jane's private dining room, located in the basement.
Though the restaurant is a decidedly popular dinner destination, the brunch crowd tends to gravitate toward Jane on weekends.
