A great restaurant for traditional Indian cuisine, it's also one of the few places you can secure a pudina paratha, or layered bread with mint, among other classic Indian specialties.

Bring your entourage with you to Indian Taj for a tasty night out. Many meatless specialties will please the vegetarians in your group.

Editorial Review

Local destination for inexpensive 15-dish lunch and dinner buffets alongside full bar offerings. Three locations in Greenwich Village, Queens, Lindenhurst.

We were in the Village on Sunday, 11/3/13 and we were looking forward to Indian Taj's mouthwatering chicken saag and lamb vindaloo. I had called two days before to make sure of the closing time. As we walked up to the restaurant we saw that the place was dark and there was a sign that said "Close. Lost our lease"...

We were hungry after a 12 hour train ride and stumbled upon this place. The kitchen was closing in 15 minutes yet they welcomed us. No sense of rush. I had a divine Mango Chicken and a nut naan. The chicken was tender beyond belief. I'd give the place a 6 if I could!

I could easily give this resturaunt an extra star or star and a half on the food and service. On our mostnrecent visit the service was very very accomodating. The food is consistently very good with a large selection. There was a dead roach on our table our server tried to playdown upon seating us. Has windows thatbcan open onto...

Good food at a decent price

While going for a walk on the wonderful Bleeecker Street we passed this restaurant and chose this for a dinner.
The food - we had the butter chicken - came fast and it was quite nice.
The service was good, and when they dimmed the light it got a bit more romantic.
The location is great.
