Help us make it rightHousing Works is the nation's largest non-profit minority-controlled AIDS service organization. Our mission is to reach the most vulnerable and under served among those affected by the AIDS epidemic in New York City, primarily homeless persons of color whose positive HIV diagnoses are complicated by a history of chronic mental illness and/or chemical dependence, and provide them with a...
“Tremendous finds” await the patient picker at this “never stagnant” local chain considered the “Bergdorf” of thrift outfits, where browsers happen upon “super-fashionable” “vintage and contemporary” clothing and “designer” furniture, all tended by “pleasant, unobtrusive” staffers; each branch “has its own personality”, and though displays are “chaotic” and prices can be “all over the map”,...
This thrift store chain donates its proceeds to charities for AIDS, so in addition to finding the best second hand furniture and clothing in the city, you'll also feel good about where your money is going. Though the furniture is by far the most noteworthy stuff in the stores, you can also find clothes and accessories, books and house decorations.

Upscale thrift shop with cheap goods, with proceeds going to help homeless people living with HIV/AIDS.
One of my absolute favorite places to shop in the city. I always find myself at this little gem flipping through the racks in search of designer treasures. Picked up a fantastic Burberry polo for...

I was 2nd in line. but when i went inside the panel was nowhere to be found. i had expected it to be up front since it was a new item coming on sale, which is how it has been in the past. i looked and looked for the item, noticing a woman who was behind me in line...
The staffs are definitely friendlier than the one on 17th st.Found a Kate Spade Gwinette Lane Pitcher and Platter for $12 and $10 on a recent trip there. Saw some really beautiful Wedgwood place settings for $10, didn't get them just because i have way too many place settings laying around. The clothing option is great, but like all Housing Works, the pricing is too precious for thrift stores.
