We had our Tribeca terrace fully re-desinged last August ('09) with new planters, trees and ferns all based upon the ""design expert"". We are pleased with the planters, but the plantings are what we've had issues with. Granted we have somewhat limited options as we have a partially sunny terrace. The offered selections were rather boring, and very corporate. We ended up researching possible plantings and suggesting this to our assigned design expert (who is no longer an employee). Our first major issue was a caterpillar infestation on our trees last fall. We had to arrange for HW&V...

Too much hot air, too much money, too much baloney. These people have a problem delivering the service they promise. The voice on the phone is friendly until you really need results. Then evasion is the name of the game. Make 100% sure everything is in writing.

Expensive should mean good Kudzu

But it does not. You will pay more, have more delays, hear more nonsense, more excuses and deal with more hipster attitude than you thought possible in the landscape business.
