Help us make it rightWow, if only I'd read the reviews before bringing in a lambswool sweater with a small hole on the front of it. My tailor in Sunnyside where I used to live spoiled me, because she could do these...
Brought a couple of shirts here to be altered. They were far too tight and the proportions totally off. Moreover, he made alterations that I didn't even ask for, presumably because something got lost in translation. (Neither the owner nor his wife speak English well.) The alteration I asked for was very simple, but the shirts came back totally ruined. I brought them back, tried them on and looked like a disfigured cartoon character, yet he looked at me as if they fit like gloves. I pointed, overenunciated, grunted to help him understand the problem, all to no avail. My frustration...
This guy should not be in the business of altering clothes, certainly not expensive suits.
I took a $1k Bloomy suit here and he has nearly ruined the pants.
I asked him to take in the pants. He said $70 and 5 days - didn't even want to see me try them on!
After insisting that he measure/mark the pants, I put them on, he looked, put in 2-3 pins and took the pants.
A week later - they're too tight. So I asked him to loosen them. He wanted another $40 and 5 more days. After 5 more days, I go back and there's no way he touched a single stitch, they were just as tight as when he...

I went in on a Monday I told him I needed it by Thursday, as I was leaving for a wedding Friday afternoon. He took my measurements, gave me the hefty fee, and said it would be ready Thursday.
Came back Thursday, it was not ready, had to come back Friday morning before my flight to pick it up. I tried it on, and the shoulders had not been taken in, and were still much too wide.
Obviously it was too late to do anything about before the wedding, so after an embarrassing...
HORRIBLE service
They do not speak english . . . . I took my fabric belt in to be made smaller and the woman, whom I believe is the wife, took it, I had to show her what to do and how to do it, and then she took my money and told me to come back a week later; when I came back nothing had been done and the owner, the husband was there who told me to come back on a tuesday when someone was there who spoke english. When I came back the woman understood what I wanted and I was told to come back a week later which I did; At that point the belt was still way too large and they had done it all...
