I have been embroiled in small claims court with Hardwood Perfect flooring for over a year and - finally - won my claim against them for a full refund plus damages ($5k). I hired this company to refinish and repair my hardwood floor. They did not refinish parts of the floor (in the pantry, under the fridge), stained the wood black and red, used unfinished, splintering boards to do repairs, broke my baseboard, scuffed my wall, and damaged my radiators. I gave them many opportunities to revise their work or refund my money, but had to go through the legal system to obtain reparations. On top of this, Thomas of HPF repeatedly did not fulfill his promises to revise the work, wanted to extort more money from me for them to finish the job, screamed at me that I was "crazy" when I asked for a refund based on their incomplete/poor quality work.
I highly recommend Lignum Floors, which is an honest company that does high quality work. They fixed my badly damaged floors and did an amazing job.
