The haircut was worth it, considering how much faith we put in our hairdressers' hands, and their hands determine how good we feel - or at least for me, where my hair is kind of my pride and glory.
Anyway, to the haircut - how was it? Well, Lana was lovely and courteous, professional and creative, and did exactly as I needed - what I call a 'maintenance haircut' (getting rid of my split ends and what not) with flair, giving me the layers I needed without being too radical. She also gave me a some nice hair highlights. I was also able to get an appointment within a few days of calling - which is pretty good. The experience was worth it. She also had a good mixture of chattiness without being overly chatty - I've often felt sometimes like going to the hair salon can feel like I've got Entertainment Tonight blaring in my head at top volume, and need a quiet moment to recuperate. Luckily I didn't need that with Lana - it was a great experience, and I now don't have to procrastinate without a haircut, which sometimes happens. Now that I've found a good hair salon, I won't have that problem again. Thanks Lana your the best!
I would give zero stars if I could. I went in asking to have my hair trimmed and some layers put in to make my hair look thicker, seeing as it's very fine. They ended up cutting off half of my hair, not trimming my bangs like I asked, and thinning my hair out. Now I have nowhere near the style that I wanted and my hair is incredibly flat.
The 3-star A-OK rating says it all. Although, it's more of a, "ehh...okay." I made a last minute appointment at Hair Delight Salon and Spa on a Saturday afternoon for a haircut/style. I just moved to San Diego and was looking for a good place to get my hair cut. I stumbled in on this place on a Friday afternoon and they were able to fit me in very quickly without an appointment. Kim cut my hair and she did a fabulous job.
