It almost "feels like Florence" at this "affordable" TriBeCa Tuscan featuring "above-average" food, "friendly" service and a "high-ceilinged", "farmhouse-like" milieu; "outdoor dining" with a "one-of-a-kind view" of the harbor and Statue of Liberty is the thing at its "off-the-beaten-path" sibling in Wagner Park.
Gigino is the nickname of chef Luigi Celantano, whose partners are Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez (Jean-Georges, Vong, JoJo, Patria). This attractively rustic trattoria offers brick-oven pizzas, crisp and fine, notable pastas and other sophisticated spins on southern Italian dishes. Start with mixed mushrooms and onions sautéed with garlic, olive oil and parsley or the brick oven-roasted eggplant...

We went for A delicious Valentine's Day meal. Food was great as always. A bit more crowded and noisy than usual.
Valentine's Day dinner; we were not looking for anything over the top but a nice dinner to enjoy together, and got that. Food and service very good for a busy evening. They gave my wife a handful of roses on the way out, which was a...
Food and table service were excellent. However, when we asked if they could call us a cab after the meal, they said "we don't provide that service". Poor after spending a few hundred dollars with them.
Found the restaurant on Open Table and it did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We split a few things, and everything was delicious. Chicken Limone was a small portion, but delicious. The bolognese was amazing. I would definitely recommend.
I've been coming here since I was a toddler and moved into the neighborhood with my parents, I'm now half way through college and my love for Gigino's has remained steadfast! Thank you for the dozens (if not hundreds) of great meals over the years.
A home away from home in TriBeCa. Enjoy the Rustic, romantic ambiance, friendly service and the inspired regional S. Italian cooking by Chef Luigi Celentano.
