Help us make it rightLove this place. I get stuff altered and drycleaned and not only are they good, but they are fast and inexpensive. Or, in the very least reasonably priced. I've had buttons added to things, rips fixed, hems taken up, the works. They are very nice too, and it's a spacious place . . . not so eerily sweatshop-esque crammed like many drycleaners.
Small establishment offers alterations at low prices, plus dry-cleaning, wash and hand wash, and more.
After visiting G & G for alteration on my wedding dress, I was gravely disappointed and offended. They treated the dress very poorly, did not fix the issue, still charged me, and returned it with a stain and completely wrinkled.
I took my expensive and irreplaceable Dior Homme jacket for dry cleaning. However, during the process they ripped a 1 inch hole into the sleeve. G&G denied the damage and offered no way of compensation for it. Needless to say, my $1200 jacket is ruined and I did dot even get an apology! They said they are not responsible for lost or damaged items. Be warned: G&G cleaners do BAD work, are dishonest, and lack costumer service.
After a referral, brought half my wardrobe to be mended and cleaned with decent results.
However, during dry cleaning, a silk button off a unique item got lost. G&G offered to search for it in the factory and sew it back on- however on close inspection, they replaced a few of the original buttons to cheap polyester so they 'match' rather than fess up and admit the single button went awol.
Shame. Honesty is best policy and this unnecessary lie cost them a customer.
I just bought a new pair of Citizen's Jeans that were way too long for me. I was very nervous to get them hemmed, so read a few reviews online and decided to go here. The place is tiny, but dont judge on looks. The woman who hemmed my jeans did an AMAZING job, it was like magic. She reattached the original hem somehow, and I honestly can't tell at all. They came out perfect and I will keep going back. :)
Pros
+ My jeans came out perfect! Friendly service!!
Cons
- Tiny Dressing Room
The best. I have been going there for 10 years. Angela does a great job of tailoring as well. They have NEVER lost anything of mine.
