Been a patient of DR. GERHARDSTEIN for many years, I followed him from his former practice to FPA. Wouldn't trust my health with any one else at this point in my life. If he doesn't know what is going on with you , he will suggest a specialist after researching that problem himself. My husband is also his patient, and as we age, we need this doctor whom we feel cares.
This is a terrible place where you are not treated as a human. I had one visit covered by insurance and went in with a list. When I said I was seeing spots in my vision and was in an abusive marriage (emphasis on past tense) the doctor called the domestic violence hotline, prescribed anxiety medication and never bothered to look at anything else.
We have been with FPA for 30 years and we have been VERY pleased with our medical care. Our daughter and grandson moved to Lexington and we quickly recommended FPA because of the quality care we have received.
