Help us make it rightI told Empire (Big Apple TV Repair )my TV turned bright green then went normal, then no picture but the sound worked. At my home George wanted $70 and told me the $70 would come off the $349 to fix my problem set. I agreed. He assured me the TV could be fixed but he had to get a part in Florida. After a week I had to call him because he doesnt bother calling. He returned to my home and warned me that he put the part in (DC/DV converter) but the board wasnt reacting correctly. He powered on my TV and I can smell something burning. He said it wasnt burning it was overheating and it was a...
Called several repair shops I found on the internet but couldn't get anyone to come to Flushing to look at my Panasonic LCD. Finally called this company....(I have to admit I hestitated calling them after reading some bad reviews but I was desperate to get my set repaired. Luckily, I was able to get a Saturday afternoon appointment. The technician somehow fixed the set but it took him at least 4 hours. They charged me 250 dollars. I paid like 600 for the TV. Anyway, things worked out okay and the set has been working fine for the past two months. Rick \r
DO NOT USE EMPIRE TV!!! They were happy and eager to come out to my home and charge $65 (in cash!) to ""assess"" the issues with my TV. However, they were subsequently completely unresponsive, unwilling to provide a write-up of the issue and refused to come back for the repair. There are other companies out there that are reputable -- Empire TV is not one of them. NOTE: merchant clearly is trying to escape bad reviews and has renamed their business to ""Big Apple TV""
When my TV went out I called around and landed on Empire. The technician came out, identified the problem and replaced a part. He then offered me a steep discount if I paid in cash. A week later the part he replaced blew out as it was not the right model part. I called Empire and the same technician came back, but he denied ever taking a payment then told me he had to order the correct part. It is now almost three weeks later and neither he nor Empire will return my calls. I have left five messages on Empire's answering service. Empire won't acknowledge the payment I made nor will the...
TERRIBLE. Wasted my time. I owned a 5-year old Pioneer Plasma TV. It stopped working, I brought them my E-box part of the TV since I thought that was the problem. They said could not fix this part, and I could buy a used one to replace it. So I did, and when I got home, i plugged it in, and TV still didn't work. SO I called and scheduled to have a repair guy come to my apt. 1st appt. was for...
