When City Wine and Cigar, on the corner of Greenwich and Laight Streets, closed last year, its front area became Dylan, a bar and restaurant, and the back was turned into Laight Street, a seafood spot. Now, Laight Street has closed, and Dylan has taken over the entire restaurant, with the back as a steakhouse, converting surf to turf. Mina Newman, formerly of Layla, is now the chef at Dylan...
Housed in the loft-like space that was once home to the City Wine & Cigar Co., Dylan Prime has lightened the décor and added elegant touches like plush booths and romantic lighting. Billed as a sexy steakhouse, the menu offers cuts of prime meats, in two sizes, one designed for he-men and the other for their dainty dates. Everything can be accessorized with sides such as sautéed mushrooms and...

Visited Dylan's last night for one last meal out in New York and thought we had been let down as the service and setting were not what we had hoped for, however the meals were superb! I ordered the 14 Oz Ribeye with Buttermilk Mash. The steak was cooked to perfection and the mash was light and fluffy. It's an awesome place but beware you are paying for the food and not the experience as a whole

Dylan Prime is located in a historic landmark building on the corner of Laight St. and Greenwich St. Inspired by our origins as the Dietz Lantern Building; we recently underwent a renovation, reclaiming many original elements of the space to pay tribute to our deep roots in the Tribeca neighborhood. Our bar tops, tables, columns and shelving are constructed primarily from 200-year-old beams...
Situated on the industrial streets of Tribeca, Dylan Prime is a modern steakhouse (wood-slatted ceiling, moss colored walls), with a hip downtown atmosphere that defies tradition. Dramatic mahogany and glass paneled wine cellars defines the plush, inviting space. Lush velvet menus are an added unexpected touch.

Try the Ten Berry Martini with fresh raspberry puree and a Bellini with white peach puree. The Naked New York, made with Peconika vodka and blue cheese-stuffed olives, is another standout.
