Dr Silverstein encouraged me to have cataract surgery with premium lenses at an out of pocket cost to me of $6400 -over and above what Medicare and United Health Care paid him - saying I would no longer need glasses - after surgery I am near sighted - he advised he could correct with lasik surgery. I no longer trust him to do anything to my eyes & ask for half of my money to be refunded to me...

My experience with Dr. Silverstein was very poor. He pushed to have cataract surgery done in order to charge for premium lenses. After a "complicated" surgery I am left with a chronic eye condition requiring regular visits to a retina specialist, daily eye drops to keep infection down, and eye injections to control possible retina damage. He is too much in a hurry to do a good job....
