Starch that collar, because you and your fraternity bros will have it popped tonight and every night at Doghouse. Close your eyes, breathe in that musty smell, step on some peanut shells, and take in the magic. Watch the crowd at the bar go googly-eyed at the drink wheel where jell-o shots take center stage. Or root for the guy to get his fifth jager bomb. Either way, it’s a great spectator sport. Upstairs, enjoy the bar’s main attraction: skee-ball! I found a thin crowd the night I went, so getting a drink was no problem, if you don’t mind the company.

Pros

+ drink specials, skee-ball

The Lower East Side’s sports-loving locals now have their very own sports bar for all seasons--football, baseball, basketball and hockey. After rock club Annex’s demise, the multi-floored venue received a cosmetic facelift (Big Buck Hunter, athletics paraphernalia, skee-ball) and was rebooted as a sports saloon with serious potential for debauchery. On the main floor, about 10 TVs broadcast...
