Vinotherapy consists of skin care products and treatments derived from the by-products of grapes and the winemaking process consisting of grape seeds, grape seed extracts, husks, grapeseed oil and vine leaf extracts that all have a high concentration of polyphenols. Vinotherapy is a treatment concept derived in France that is spreading into North America and around the world. Using grapes in...
Delluva (pronounced dell-oo va) comes from the Italian conjunction dell‘uva, which translated means "of the grape". The "Therapy from the Vine” treatments provided here make use of skin care products and treatments derived from grapes and the by-products of the wine making process. Due to their high concentration of polyphenols antioxidants this uniue day spa maintains that wine products are up...
In Short
It's called vinotherapy, and this highly focused spa runs with the theme--especially in the waiting room with its lit-up wine bottles, the wine barrel product displays and Riedel...
I love spa week. It's one of the best parts of living in NYC. So, I was so disappointed when this service was just weird and painful. I wanted to like this place! It's clean, modern friendly and just looks lovely however it ends there. It was just a very strange, and painful facial. 1) I've never had a facial where I didn't disrobe and it was very awkward having my fleece sweater on while being steamed rather than wearing a nice robe. 2) The extractions were waaaay to aggressive! I literally have bruises and red spots all over my face. When I exited the woman dealing with the $ just looked...
Everything I had heard about the Delluva Day Spa was true - their sole purpose in life is to pamper and relax you. The wine themed decor was a nice twist, adding to the atmosphere. The massage I had was wonderful and left me wanting more.
This venue is out of business!
I received a gift certificate to Delluva and what a treat. My first impression of the changing room was small, but it served its purpose. The massage therapist was phenomenal, professional and respectful. The relaxation room decor and atmosphere was refreshing. They serve you wine and fruit, which was delicious. Delluva is a definite spa for spa-goers who want to be treated right; they don?t rush and take their time so your needs are met.
Pros
+ great services, wonderful staff, cool atmosphere
Bliss Midtown is the place I go for deep tish massages in the city (My best 3 massages so far are.. Mii amo SPA in Sedona, Ritz Carlton Spa Half Moon Bay in SF and Bliss Midtown in NYC.) but it's a little far from my place so I tried one in Tribeca. I loved the location and inside atmosphere but the massage by M. was O.K. (Not great...) If I pay about same amount of money, I think I have to go back to Bliss....Or should I try another therapist? I don't know...
Pros
+ Relaxing atmosphere. Not crowded.
Cons
- Average massage.
This one of a kind spa in the posh Manhattan neighborhood has its base in Vinotherapy. The unique skin care products and treatments are derived from the by-products of the grape fruit, used during wine-making, which nourishes and detoxifies the skin. The spa has a tranquil and serene atmosphere and has New York state licensed massage therapists, nail technicians and cosmetologists. The on-site...
Credit cards are required to book, and you'll be billed if you cancel within 24 hours of your service.
Delluva offers a 15-minute post-facial makeup session ($20), which uses the mineral-based Jane Iredale line.
No need to snack beforehand--the relaxation room's nuts, dried fruit, water and wine are complimentary.
Packages are vino-themed: There's the Pairing, a three-and-a-half hour couples package ($549), and the Split, which includes a 60-minute facial and massage ($225).
Most of the vinotherapy products are from TheraVine in South Africa.
