The Detroit Tigers, charter members of Major League Baseball's American League, stopped playing their home games at historic Tiger Stadium at the close of the 1999 season. Their new home is now in the downtown Theater District. Named after the bank, whose funds made its creation possible, Comerica Park has something of a circus-like atmosphere with enormous sculptures of tigers, bats and balls,...

A ferris wheel. A mammoth water feature in center field that can be choreographed to any music. A decade-by-decade pedestrian museum enveloping the main concourse. But wait, there is also a field with a game being played as well.Comerica Park appears rooted at the center of an urban village, a village that includes shops, restaurants, offices, and other attractions. Buildings of varying sizes...

Great place to see a game. Great Fans. Decent Beer selection now, which is a good option when paying inflated prices. Not great concessions as far as food goes compared to other MLB parks I have visited Cleveland, Cincinnati, St.Louis, & Both parks in Chicago, and Phoenix. Understandably so as the Mike Illich of Lil Caesars pizza fame owns the...

Parking

Parking can cost up to $20 near the park. Take the People Mover to the Broadway stop; the ballpark is visible from there. The Fox parking garage on Woodward Street and Greektown's parking structures are other alternatives.

Full-service restaurants in the park include the Upper Den Lounge, the Brushfire Grill and the upscale Tiger Club.
