The Scene
The owners of Italian restaurant I Trulli and the design store Moss teamed up to create this all-day cafe, with a name that references the 100-bottle wine list. A young,...

I love Italian food and this place must tooooo the food was outragiously awsome!!!! and the staff was too!!! I think we had the best server in the world. The prices well it is New York, the food is worth every penny!!!,and so are the happy…

OH DEAR! it CLOSED! where else can willl you get good ITalian wines by the glass (if dining with a close friend or more than 2.. order more --- your own wine tasting). the portions are not large but immensely authentic satisfying. Carnivores: try the pedantic-sounding (oh! so perfectly done) pasta with meat sauce. It's memorable... a perfect combo of veal, beef etc in that ragu. small modern...

Yelp

Went here for restaurant week and was really impressed with the service. The food was good but you won't be writing home about it. I like the fact that, without restaurant week, they have a $38…

Even with the $24 prix fixe, somehow it gets to be expensive.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Time!

Last night I went to Centovini for the second time. It is the best place in the city! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is delicious, and even if you're on a budget you feel like you're out for an expensive night on the town (you can get a 3 course dinner for only $38). I will always go back here!

Pros

+ yummy dishes, friendly staff, $38 prixe fixe dinner!

The Extras

If you have trouble deciding on a bottle, get one for the table and buy your second choice on the way out at the adjacent wine shop, which is visible from the restaurant through a glass partition.

What to Drink

The 100-bottle wine list is a challenge to navigate--even for the servers. If you need assistance, be sure to flag down the sommelier. The 2004 Sicilian Inzolia ($28) is a budget-friendly white with notes of citrus and tropical fruits.
