Straight-up American classics, plus dishes with an Asian twist (think pork belly chasu hash), are on the eclectic menu at this bargain breakfast and lunch cafe in an indoor/outdoor space in Little Tokyo.

Here is another brew palace where coffee snobs and the merely drowsy can drop cash on a better-than-average cup of joe. Rotating selection of coffees and loose-leaf teas, compostable cups, and cupping events keep patrons alert and engaged. Something sweet to balance out the bitter? Put down the Splenda and pop a gourmet truffle into your gob as you sip your individually-prepared cuppa. Don't be...

My friend got the espresso and I got the lavender hot chocolate. I enjoyed my hot chocolate with the toasted marshmallow but the hot chocolate was a bit too thick and strong for my taste. It almost felt like drinking a melted chocolate fudge. Definitely worth a try for a new hot chocolate experience though! :)

Got a cappuccino, it was better than the stuff at most chains, but nothing to go out of the way for. Barista was nice, got things done in a reasonable amount of time. Coffee was neither too basic or acidic. Just nothing memorable. Great that they validate valet parking nearby for 1 h... Though I wish …

Demi tasse in French means "half cup," like the ones they serve an espresso in. Demitasse is kind of a small place located in the Weller Court of Little Tokyo, LA. They have three small areas, two sofas and one bar. It's kind of an intimate space. The inside looks like a science lab with glass flasks …

Delicious iced green tea. Very nice spot to just have a mellow mid-afternoon break from wandering around DTLA. There is a variety of seating: couch booths, high round tables, bar stools. Will definitely come back when in the area to try their pastries and coffee!

One of my fave caffeine watering holes. You like cold brew because you're hipster, eh? This is the place for you. They serve Kyoto drip cold brew were ice water is cold steeped over grounds one drop at a time. It'll cost you $6, but it's totally worth it for the smooth taste of coffee. If you do get the Kyoto, please don't add cream...otherwise we won't be on speaking terms.

A delicious, natural coffee from Ethiopia, grown at 1800 meters in Harrar. This particular coffee went through additional sorting work, upgrading the quality of the Harrar to grade 1, leading to a cleaner cup. This is the first coffee from Harrar we’ve ever carried, so hat tip to the extra sorting!
