Brandy Library is not actually a library; it's a high-end bar. The space's warm amber lighting and leather chairs are ideal to sink into or cuddle with someone special. The staff is friendly and climb ladders to fetch the brandy bottles that line the bar's shelves. The menu lists the absolute best brandy and scotch available. There are exquisite Cognacs, rustic Calvados and more than a hundred...

Despite the impressive collection of single malts and cognacs, this clubby Tribeca den is neither overly rarefied nor hypermasculine. You're just as likely to find a group of Japanese women decompressing from a Soho shopping excursion as a pack of celebratory bond traders swirling Riedel snifters to a soundtrack of big band music. The 1,000-bottle selection can be intimidating, but a "spirit...

The Scene
A hushed, reverent air fills this wood-paneled space, with murmurs of sweet nothings and hedge funds gently breaking the silence. Comfy chairs drawn around low tables, a faux...

Calling all whiskey lovers! The Brandy Library has a clubby feel, a big cocktail list, and an even bigger whiskey list. Reservations are suggested and the door policy sounds strict, but once inside, you're greeted by knowledgable waiters. Plan on staying for more than one drink.

This is a great spot if you are a scotch lover. They also have a nice selection of cocktails as well if whiskey isn't your thing. They have nice couches surrounded by endless bottles of different liquors which is really cool. Wait staff was attentive and nice. The music was jazzy and calming so it was a great place …

Was here in January for a large private party in the basement. Staff in the basement were courteous and helpful. The establishment has a nice ambience and generally 35+ aged crowd. As many have stated on yelp the staff at the door are extremely rude. Even after renting the basement out for dinner and …

No complaints on food or service. In a place stuck up enough to require a minimum age older than 21, you would think service would be stuffy and a bit...

Business description (4)

Lounges: Upscale, decadent and set in the heart of TriBeCa's legendary restaurant and entertainment scene, the Brandy Library is a great place to catch your breath (and look good doing it!) at the close of the day.

Booze, not books, line the floor-to-ceiling shelves behind the candle-lit bar, and the skilled waitstaff has a veritable cornucopia of top-flight bottles on hand, from aged...

Located in the incredibly posh and desirable Tribeca neighborhood, Brandy Library pulls in a similar suited and booted after work crowd. The upscale clientele nibble on offerings from a creative menu and enjoy the best-of-the-best top-shelf liquor.

Brandy Library is the perfect spot to unwind after work, whet your appetite before dinner, spend an evening wining and dining, have dessert and a cognac, or have the time of your life after everyone else has gone to bed. You'll find us well-stocked and willing, If you can find it nowhere else, you'll find that rare spirit, say, a 1945 Darroze armagnac, Pierre Ferrand cognac 1914, or a...

Look Good: The warm dates, wrapped in ham and topped with a sprig of mint, melt in the mouth and offer a nice counterpoint to a well-aged brandy.

The Extras: Those looking to learn more about spirits should call about the Library's tasting and seminar series. For the well-versed, the bar offers storage for personal bottles, which can be enjoyed for a corkage fee.

When to Go: Every Monday night, pianist Joel Forester entertains with improvisational jazz.
