Delicious kosher vegetarian food served up to a lunch counter filled with regulars who pack away challah grilled cheeses, potato pancakes, knishes and a long list of traditional diner fare. One of my favorite diners in NYC. If you want a slice of the real NY, skip Katz's and head to B&H.

Wonderful hole in the wall neighborhood hot spot

Out of business for several months following the explosion & fire at Second Ave. & 7th Street, this plucky little spot managed to reopen with same staff. The whole neighborhood is thankful!

We stopped here for lunch last week and were pleasantly surprised. We sat at the counter enjoying our mushroom barley soup, beet soup with celery, and cheese blintzes. The waitress was very upbeat from Poland and a delight to talk to about all the food.
