In ShortReplacing the aging facility previously located at 2700 Wilshire Boulevard, this Red Cross service center opened in June 2006. Improving the availability of Red Cross lifesaving skills and disaster relief in the Mid-Wilshire area, this expanded location provides a more efficient platform for volunteers to meet and plan responses to disasters of all types that might strike the area. Already, the Red Cross has responded to hundreds of disasters including house and apartment fires, and other incidents in the L.A. area.
